According to my view , Google is best for Advertising. So u have to spend at Google in spite of Face book.
its not really a matter of whats best. We are like comparing a fruit to the truck filled with fruit. See facebook is 1 site. Google is a network. 2 different things. They all have their place, you just need to know how to use it.
what would you market on it? do you have somethin that would make out well on social networking traffic?
Ive had good success with FB advert service when promoting a new social network, i have a few friends that use it for pushing products and have had some success you just need to target your market fairly well as mentioned in previous post your budget will get depleted fairly quickly.
I used both AdWords and Facebook. For my opinion AdWords is much better. For my site it is cheaper and has better level of conversion. Now I use Facebook only when I get free vouchers from them.
There are a lot of really valid points in this thread. I have had mixed success with Facebook advertising and I believe there are a few key points to consider: 1) With Facebook, you have a captive audience who are prepared to sit, click on things, view photos, and relax for awhile. Whereas with Google, you have a mixed bag of people who are searching for something and you want to answer that need or distract them to click on your ad = Two completely different audiences. 2) You can laser target your market on Facebook. As an example you can target single, heterosexual men age 50-51 who live within 5 miles of Dublin. I mean, that is amazing, and can be used SO successfully. 3) Clicks are far more expensive on FB. I believe this is due to the laser targeting mentioned in the point above. 4) You have to be very specific about the offer you are promoting on FB. Many things don't work, but many things do. It takes trial and error and a good image and headline. Good luck!
