well what are you trying to run on it? ITS ALL A MATTER OF CAMPAIGN PLACEMENT...you cant run a VIAGRA advertisement on a teen site and expect it to convert.

I think facebook is better for dating campaigns - Google is better for direct targeting. Education - on facebook, most people are just getting in from college, school or are still there, so -they just wanna breeze off and not think about that - I would target it for education promo.

I think you have completely missed the point, and obviously have never advertised on Facebook. You can specifically target an age range, among other things, making this a non-issue.

Sure you can... just target 50+ year old men, interested in women, also interested in some other keywords like ... sex

Can you please rephrase that, because that made absolutely no sense at all as a reply to that quote.

    Please rephrase.

aye aye aye, CPC is for returns. and CPM is for branding. Its for getting brand awareness. You use CPM banners to sell the view not the actual site. When you run CPM dont expect the world. Its a gamble for sure expecially with blind network buys. If you want returns, stick with CPC because your paying for a Tier lower. What i mean by that is, WHen your paying for cpm, your paying for impressions which then need to convert to clicks...which need to then again convert to sales. So 1 person needs to go through 3 tiers, and you need a bunch of people to do that. There is a lot more to gamble. Where as CPC you dont pay for the impressions, and you go from Click to Conversion. That is 1 less tier to go down. Which should in return make conversions easier.

REMEMBER CPC - CONVERSION GOAL...CPM - BRAND AWARENESS GOAL... 2 big things. but they are used better for different things.

If you like my advice please give me sum rep points :) thanks.

Facebook Advertising campaign is also an effective way to market website and product online. You can compare it with google ads campaign. Today everyone consider facebook the marketing hub.

FB advertising would work only for perticular niche or kind of category. you can promote your arcade and fun related site easily but some of the business which is not related to it wont work, you need to choose perticular group of people where you can advertise those category. i think adwords is the best option to deal with any business.

    Thanks

A rumor has been doing its rounds on the internet that the social networking site Facebook has changed its policies. The buzz is that the famous website has altered its policies and guidelines for use of pictures and third-party advertisers. According to the official Facebook blog, these statements are false and the company has made no such alterations in the advertising policies.

I plan to start some Facebook campaigns during next month. I will post here my results. A friend of mine told me he had excellent results with Facebook ads. He owns a dating website.

Great idea is to start a group or an application on your marketing subject and you can advertise this one for free. I'd like to hear about some experiences...
