Yes I did. The CTR's are usually very low (lower than Adsense). For facebook, I think it's wiser to make a widget and try to promote it, rather than ads
well I dont know but i feel a social media like face book, orkut etc should not be used be used for marketing activities coz i believe that such social medias should be used for mere recreational purposes....n i also think SMM may work for some n mite not work for sum...
facebook advertising is RIDICULOUSLY ineffective. dont waste ya dosh! see http://writeitonthewall.co.uk/view/...facebookadvertisingclick-thrurates(ctr)&id=56
I am testing it out right now. If you're going to try it out, Google "Facebook coupon" and you should find a $25 credit for your account. So far the ads seem to be doing alright. They are heavily defined to one particular niche. Which may be why other's are not having success.
I do not recommend you advertising on facebook. It is not very effective. It appeals to quite a young generation who usually don't have money, especially in these times so they are unlikely to be looking at adverts on facebook. They are there to socialise. You could try it, but if you look at the ratings of all these types of sites, eg. bebo, myspace etc facebook's ratings are going downhill. Hope Ive helped.
I have yet to try it, but this is something I may be interested in. I have heard of some good success on Myspace though.
The big benefit of Facebook is that it leverages a social networking platform for targeted advertising – a nice perk for small businesses that need to squeeze every last ounce of value out of their advertising initiatives. And since Facebook is geared toward everyday people, usability ranks high on its list of features. In other words, you don't have to be a computer whiz to start taking advantage of Facebook's advertising power. Although there are several ways to advertise on Facebook, here are some of the methods that are most popular with small business owners. Business Pages Facebook allows its users to create individual profiles and compile a list of "friends". Although companies fall into a different category than individuals, Facebook invites businesses to create their own profile as a way of interacting with their customers. Focused Ads Another way business owners can advertise through Facebook is by purchasing ads targeted toward a subsection of Facebook's user base. Facebook Beacon Facebook's Beacon tool brings the power of word-of-mouth advertising into the digital age. Regards Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year.......
