Dude, remember those "follow me" / "bookmark me" buttons those networks are based in? If you dont have already a good source of traffic where ppl click those buttons those social network websites are pretty useless, yeah you got the idea: those websites do nothing but increase traffic for ppl who already have traffic.

It depends on how targeted your niche is. Facebook is where people go to connect with friends and kill time socially, so if your advertising something that may interested a certain demographic (teens, young adults, programmers, etc) then you have a good chance they'll notice your ad and click on it to check out your site. If you're just advertising some product to sell or something of little value, I doubt you'll see any useful results my friend.

People are making a TON of CPA's just from fan pages, but FB is cracking down hard now.

It was great back in the day using fan pages. I had a fan page with over 800,000 fans called getting laid and boy I made quite a lot during a 4 week period before being shut down, prolly around 12k.

I do have a page, support the troops and I promoted educational offers and I have went from $1500 a month to $500 after 3 months.

The thing is promote things others aren't promoting. Everyone and their dog is promoting dating or adult sites, its highly saturated. Educational and financial offers are doing quite well for me.

Also if you have a large fan page and post your email address and putting something like for advertising inquiries contact you can make a little extra $ promoting other peoples sites.

    Food for thought

I've never experienced it, but looks alright. Seeing as it's facebook it must get a lot of views if not hits but they are a bit out of the way. I've heard it's cheap, so might be worth a shot.
