Is it worth the risk ? A lot will depend on the origin of traffic and not the source of visitors, I just got banned for a arbitrage campaign which made me 2000 dollars in march - luckily I was paid. But my reason for being banned was the quality of traffic and most the likely the country of origin.

Sure I am not happy, but hey I made some quick dollars and there are other ad' networks available and the don't control my website or tell me what I should and shouldn't do on my own website.

I guess I can now cry "Freedom" again.

Doesn't really matter where traffic comes from - if it's purchased then it's against Adsense TOS. If they don't like your traffic and it's from Countries which are known not to convert then they will ban you - even if it's natural.

Do you mean how do they know where traffic comes from ?

Simple - I.P address - if it's from a users computer, service provider or website.
It's like how they measure traffic with Analytics .... they are Google after all.

That's why using Adsense sucks - all traffic is supposed to be natural.

If the traffic is from U.S and converts then it is safer, not guaranteed to keep you safe, but it is better than traffic from Vietnam or Asia for example.

Basicaly you are just dodging another flag - if there's an un-natural increase in traffic this may raise a flag, increase in earnings and clicks will again raise another flag.

Arbitrage is a grey area and not even Google TOS has a clear guide available and is at their disposal.

I do not understand why they would ban you just because you have had a surge in traffic?

Because they will be alerted to the traffic surge and resulting surge in Clicks on ad's, this leads to eventual investigation into your site/account, they possibly have bots that will investigate your account and site - I am not sure if it's done manually, but they will eventually allerted to the sites new activity and increase in earnings and then they will investigate your traffic sources and this will alert them to the purchased traffic/ad's on Facebook - then it's up to them to see if traffic is a reason for banning you.

I's be interested to know how you plan to get cheap traffic from facebook.
If it's through their 'social ads', most people who try them seem to find they have a much lower ctr than adwords, and more expensive.
If it's through an application - it seems a lot of effort to go to in the hope of getting them to click on ads - I can't see that traffic from an application is targeted to that sort of thing.

Oh my! I just saw some guys doing that in Facebook. May be it works because I saw the ads quite for some time. But does anyone have any experience on this?

Yeah... if it's worthy... you might get in the shit for bumping old threads - cos they're not really relevant anymore... for example the members may have left or not be active anymore - so the opening posters point or question may not be relevant.
