Facebook ADS

    Hi,

    It is my understanding that ADS in Facebook are pulled depending on your interests but what if I need to reach people that may need a service that is not in their profile?

    Computer repair
    IT Support
    Hair salon to name a few

    How do you market those industries in Facebook? :confused:

    If you are talking about content targeting, you can try and predict what would be the posts of Facebook users that would pertain to the product you are advertising.

    For example:

    Computer repair = "oh shit, my comp just died..."
    Hair salon = "major bad hair day today"

    etc, etc.

    Hi yasha78,

    I really do not understand your statement. The ADS are shown based on the user profile not based on what they say on their facebook page.

    Can you please clarify?

    If a person wants to find some thing he will search for it and get groups and pages. Facebook keeps the track of how many pages they like regarding one product. For example if it is regarding SEO then there are so many SEO Pages, If he like Majority of these pages the he will start getting the Ads of online Marketing Companies.

    Thanks for your message. It makes sense. It does answer my question but it doesn't solve the problem.

    I guess I am throwing the towel on Facebook ADS as I do not see a way to address a TEMPORARY IMMEDIATE need.

    For example, if I have a broken roof and a leaky condo I need a contractor right now.

    Or if I have a computer virus, or anything else that needs a fix RIGHT NOW, I do not see myself going and liking/joining many related facebook pages.

    What I would probably do (and I have run a survey about this) is asking my friends for a referral.

    For this reason I believe there is no substitute to Adwords yet.

    I am really trying to use Facebook ADS when there is an immediate need but I have not found a way to use it yet.

    If I am missing something please let me know...

    i think fb ads is the great source cuz u can target them all even in the specific location. so it is really easy to monetize it.

    But that doesn't solve my problem. Or perhaps you know how to solve the problem? Did you read the entire thread?
