What are peoples thoughts about Facebook ads? I have a rather small campaign ($5/day and $0.35/click) but the CTR is horrendous, approximately 0.03% or lower. Also, I recently made some HUGE geographic location edits (i.e. from ALL of Canada to the GTA) but it's seen almost NO change at all. Anyone found Facebook to be an effective PPC vehicle?
I've had horrendous results promoting guides from the Facebook games. You might want to keep an eye out on some coupons to try it out before buying.
This seems to be a fairly general consensus. Maybe they just aren't that good at matching the ad to the viewer like Google are yet, but I wouldn't totally give up hope. There are other ways of using Facebook to advertise, without the daily fees.
This technioque didn't help me to receive the results I've already planned. I prefer to stay away from it now.
I've had bad luck with Facebook CPC aimed at North America. Sometimes tons of clicks, but mostly crap traffic, just bored curious users who don't convert often. Plus the clicks are expensive which makes it worse. They just updated their guidelines so CPM is going to cost more, so if you get bad CTR then use CPC. I've had good luck getting cheap as hell clicks from 3rd world countries to create supplemental traffic to some campaigns though.
