About 3 years ago with no affiliate marketing experience and long before I got into this business I posted an ad for one day only. IT was an online casino ad so I was a little nervous about it... Please note: I wouldn't post this ad today and don't support the industry. For $16 in investment in the ad - I had two signups totaling $400. That was a long time ago however and in both the Facebook and online poker BOOM. Good luck to you!

When I tried facebook I was getting a really low CTR. Think about it how aften do you click adds in facebook? I DON"T even notice them 80% of the time... They have bad page placement and most ppl on the site are not searching for a solution to the problem your ad is offering.

Best way to learn is test it your self. See if u can find some targeted markets with low CPC then test your adds :)

I wanted to mention another side of facebook advertising - the applications.

A great percentage of user interaction happens inside these apps. There are a few ad networks that exist to serve developers in monetizing their apps and serve advertisers in giving them access to facebook users in a different way.

CTRs are lower than what people are generally accustomed to but the clicks that do happen are quality prospects and do convert. I can say this with a high degree of confidence because I have advertisers that frequently recharge their accounts and keep their creative the same. I am sure that they are making money, otherwise they wouldn't reload.

I'm happy to help anyone that has any questions about advertising on facebook apps.

    Cheers,
    Stas

Are you saying that you have some success with facebook's traffic converting to sale?

I have advertisers that are seeing sufficient conversions from my facebook ad network to justify recharging their accounts and continuing to advertise.

Most of what I am seeing from them are CPA offers and they seem to be successful.

    Hope that answers your question.

    Cheers,
