Does anybody has an idea how this would work? I was looking at some info about Canada yesterday and I had ads pertaining to Canada on Facebook today. I noticed something like that earlier, but it was not that obvious.
You'll need to do further research into this. As far as I know, FB and Google are slowly moving apart. Although it could be that you might have been browsing with you logged in with your FB profile.
I might be a little behind on this, but they were cooperating? On the other hand Google+ should solve this issue too (monopoly).
Ya, I'm with Jolie, I had not idea that they were cooperating in the first place, are/were they? I was thinking, like Jolie said, that Google started Google+ to directly compete with Facebook on the social level so it wouldn't make sense to me for them to be sharing add space and all of that but I could definitely be wrong...would like to hear back if the have some sort of relationship though, would be interesting to hear.
I was just on stumbleupon.com for the first time and it has access to Facebook too. It is showing a name of one of my Facebook friends along with "is using StumbleUpon". Is it all in cookies and all sites have access to it? Also, there are these Features "connect with Facebook" etc, so they just transfer your information from there to their website. I wonder how that works to. Do they have some kind of contracts etc / share income in a way? I am just curious. In the end Google Sharing with Facebook, Facebook with StumbleUpon etc, thats something I was not aware of (It is like going to pay your bills on one website or whatever and then going to another and be getting ads related to it etc, I dont know... I am just wondering how this works) PS. I mean I knew I can connect the sites if I want too, but Google searches showing in the ads on Facebook is mostly what I wanted to know.
