I used to work in Facebook in analytics for spam prevention. After accounts are disabled by an automatic script, they usually aren't reactivated until a Facebook reviewer looks at the account as requested by the user. Usually they evaluate common friends, your accepted friend count versus pending friend count, and a few other things. If you have been on for a while with a verifiable account (government email address, school email address, etc.) you have a 74% better chance getting your account reinstated. Most of the time they won't reinstate you, and with all the spammers on, expect less and less likely to accept in the future.
