    Guys I need your help.

I am really need to boost my website traffic and have scoured the forum for new ideas.

    My site is www.soccerengine.net.

I have seen that Face Book & My Space marketing can generate a good solid amount of traffic to you websites. I have never opened up an account with either of these. What is the process for generating traffic with these. Does the whole account have to be based around the site?

Please advise as I do not want to create an account until I know what I am doing. Could you please talk me through the process.

Link Exchanges Welcome for my site. www.soccerengine.net

    PM me if interested.

i tried the facebook ad campaign for 4 days with a budget of $5/day. This was to promote my site Greenr3.com which I still have no idea what I'm doing with.
I cancelled after 3 and in those 3 days, I had 66,000 + page views and 47 clicks - so it's not bad..
you may get better clickthrough with your domain as opposed to my hippie domain :)It cost me around $15

I guess TS is not really talking about paid advertising right? Well, Facebook and MySpace marketing, for me, is really a waste of time and it is an effort with low ROI. You can try building your own profile and go around the site recommending your site rather than creating a profile for your site.

MySpace and Facebook marketing might be worth it if you get the right software and spam the hell out of the site. I've been told you need some kind of spammy approach to make a decent buck from these sites. Uh...I'll pass. But it's your call. Just do a search on the Net for MySpace and Facebook marketing software if you're interested.

What I do for Facebook is add my website under my profile. On top of that I join groups, or just search up groups and under most groups you can post items. That's where I post my website http://www.hedgeagainstspeculation.com

I've gotten 250+ quality hits from them in two weeks time. Not a lot, but it still works.

The thing about networking sites, is that to get something out of them - you have to, well, network.
Join in, don't spam, make contacts and friends, join groups, promote yourself in the places you're allowed to promote, send the occasional message to people who have shown interest in what you're about.
I would say - don't make the whole account around the site - make it around you and your interests - in soccer, which leads naturally to your site.

Worst places to advertise are facebook and myspace.

Thats a known fact and advertisers continue to waste their money trying to get uninterested consumers to buy their products.

I can show you how to make money with affiliates if youre interested.

Ive had some good conversions from myspace, but the site i was promoting was based around tools that you can use for your myspace profile.. I guess it all depends on what your offering.

The fact that you have a football niche, you should get some good hits from them as I would have though a lot of people are big fans of football.
