Looks like a new race in Japan, that should be interesting. There's a 2 point gap between Lewis & Massa right? How far behind is Kimi?
Kimi is 17 points behind. So one retirment from Massa and Hamilton will make it interesting. On Asian tracks Ferrari doing good so we can hope that Massa pull some points from 3 races before he go to home GP. Also we have first Night GP on 25th it would be interesting.
I think Kimi is too far behind. To expect both Lewis and Massa to both not finish 1 out of 5 races and still claw back 7 points on his current form seems a bit much. This will only be made harder by Ferrari backing Massa as priority 1.
He relinquished the position, then made a pass under braking on next corner, there was no gain from cutting the corner that Kimi forced him into. The only people who think otherwise are Ferrari and their fans - unfortunately the FIA fall into this bracket! Even previous world champions feel the same: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/7604776.stm He's not got a history of non fair play, he's got a history of hard racing, making maneuvers that most drivers are afraid to make and actually giving us viewers something exciting to watch. He's the best driver on the track, championship points show that even after this fiasco. Too true. It all stems from when most teams wanted to split from F1 Administration and setup their own format, Ferrari wouldn't agree to it so now their the "teachers pet". Exactly, he drove the race to win, if he hadn't taken Kimi at that corner it would have been the next. The penalty was totally undeserved as the result would have been the same if he did it or not.
I think throwing Kimi out of the title contender with 5 more races to go is not a wise decision for Ferrari to make right now. He still have potential to retain his world champion. For me, Ferrari should let their driver racing each other until only one have a clear edge over another. F1 is lacking with competitiveness nowadays and I want to see some racing between each of the driver.
With 5 races to go last year, kimi was miles behind the lead. Then the amazing driver that he is pissed on them all last few races. Would be class if he did the same again. If not i'll be glad local hero luis wins
I don't think so that he can do this year. I would put money on Massa as his performance in Asia is better and have home GP too.
Last year Kimi was helped by poor performances by Lewis and McLaren in general (poor decision making). This year I think they will have learned their lesson and make sure they pick up the 2nd and third places they need.
I will go with Massa as we seen his performance on this tracks and he looks better driver right now who can beat Lewis.
Lewis is a better driver than Massa. Plain and simple. A perfect example of this was the British grand prix. lewis made Massa look like a girl when he could handle wet weather racing and massa couldnt.
Yes and this season Ferrari have problems whenever we seen rain and their hard tyers seems not working for them.
Why you go that GP? Just check last GP where Kimi wasn't able to handle Ferrari car and Massa was slow that time.
