Hmm. I am in need of a table of 10 or so rows with 4 columns. I do not want to use tables as they are "terrible". What are my other options? Please help and thanks.

What exactly is it that you are doing? If this is HTML, then a table is your best bet, and I really don't see anything wrong with them, or why they would be a burden at all.

Tables still have their purpose in the html world... which is for "Tabular Data". If that is the case, i'd still stick with tables ;)

I fail to see why tables are so bad. When used CORRECTLY they make life very easy. See my website for examples of massive numbers of tables properly used.

I completely agree. People get so caught up in the obsession to remove every trace of a table tag from their sites that they forget what tables were intended for in the first place.

In HTML and XHTML, there's nothing wrong with using a table to display spreadsheet-style data. Folks can get rid of a lot of the "bulk" of table code by using CSS stylesheets.
