We've been using AdSense for about 8 months now, and while the amounts aren't always as high as I'd like them to be, we are always paid promptly. Their customer service has worked well when we needed them, they have warned me of a couple of minor infractions so that I could fix them early on. If they ban abusers so that legitimate publishers like me can maximize profit, then I'm all for it.
