I love the old single engine prop fighters....they make a dogfight so much more interesting...today's technology allows planes to shoot missles from hundreds of miles away....no up close and personal dogfight.

The P-51 was the all-time classic, in my opinion. Although the F8F Bearcat sometimes whipped the P-51 at the Reno Air Races, the P-51 just had that matchless "look".

I think the JSF is not so bad, the only problem is that I wonder if it is vulnerable from radar detection from the rear, since it's just got that round engine nozzel sticking out back there. :p

I've saw one manage to finish its mission and land with most of its tail gone and one of its wings shot to pieces.

    My favorite: Consolidated B-24 Liberator

    Spitfire! All the way! :D

On the PS3 I played Ace combat intensively for quite some time. My fav there was the A310 'tank buster' pictured in one of the above posts.

    I stopped playing when I couldn't complete a mission...:(
