Perhaps they were making some upgrades and had a glitch? Did you write to them and tell them what had happened?
I don´t think EZine is sabotaging articles. Their reviewing methods might need an update though. I submitted an article on soccer. It had a keyword that they considered offensive. I had to delete the article because they wouldn't accept it. Any person that would read the article could see it wasn't offensive in any way. They have a really hard job, but I think they should read more articles and don't let software do too much.
