Hello, I have been posting to ezine articles for about 50 days and I wanted to give you the tips I have learned. I also want YOU to give some of your tips about ezinearticles. Thanks Tips: Say you write 10 articles about the same niche. Submit them over 2 or 3 different days. Try to submit towards the end of the day at ezines Quantity Is better Then Quality Ussually. Lets keep this thead going with some tips
I've found I have better CTR when my articles are shorter. I think less visitors make it through the long articles down to the resource box.
Great tip. I have also relized this. Some of my articles that are only 275 words get a 40% ctr! One more tip I just thought of is Health related topics are somewhat hard to get a high ctr. I spent 20 minutes on a resource box and I only get like 10 percent. Where on my other niches I can spend 1 minute and get over 30%
Use catchy titles like "The Secret to ____" or "Top 3 Reasons to ____" or "Get rid of ____ once and for all" And always be sure your keywords are in the title.
i second the title bit.. this thread gave me curiosity and had to quickly look at my stats... articles that have had titles such as Get Rid of...., Learn how to... have around 40% CTR while other articles are as low as 5% It's amazing what a title can do.
Use EzineArticles for sure. Don't try to sell your product, provide info first and foremost. Keep the length between 300-400 words. Really focus on your resource box!
I've actually got a special offer on sale at the Warrior Forum about this topic right now. It's about 7 steps to writing killer articles that SELL products. A little bit of shameless self promotion there
Keyword prominence, meaning: put your keywords as near the beginning of your title as possible for better rankings. Also, about article length, almost all of my articles are close to 250 words exactly, I like 'em short, it's usually between 250-300, but I can stray up towards 350 SOME times... and guess what, my CTR averages between 40%-50%
Thats a beast ctr . Good Job Has anyone noticed some decrease in traffic from ezinearticle? Ussually when I submit a new article it gets like 80 views immediately then the traffic dies down. This passed week i submited 30 articles and NONE of them got more then 50 views. Any comments?
only 5 clicks for 101 views, means my resource not attracting, will anybody tell how to creative resource.
You don't need a creative resource box, lol. If the article is good then the reader will naturally want more. So your resource box can be as simple as Or something. I've gotten 47% CTR with resource boxes similar to that one.
good info guys. intersting what people are saying about short articles. the one article i've submitted so far to ezine is like 550 words (probably too much) and the title is short but keyword orientated. definitely need to dabble with the titles for future articles. so far its had just over 100 views and 10 url clicks. one or two of them was me checking it worked so not a great ctr.
There can be lots of reasons for low CTR: 1. Badly written article. If your article sucks, there's a good chance most people won't be clicking on your links. 2. Links that aren't really related to what you're talking about in your article. 3. Article is too long. Many people won't make it to see your resource box if your article is very long. --- These things all trump the "creativity" you put into your resource box.
I make my articles short and sweet and strong. I never go over 500 words. and usually stay 250-300 I try to write with a goal of 5 articles a week. I can only keep it at this mark b/c I am writing 6 blogs and they get a huge amount of my attention. I also bookmark them. I dont know if this is going to work I just started doing it.
Use different pen names(alternate author names ). Write up to 5 or 10 articles per pen names. It would be very difficult for your competitors to trace you down.
I haven't yet, but I will be once I get a series of articles written on one particular subject. I will be making a squidoo lens and hubpage, as well as finding a good bookmaking site for them that will work. consider newsvine, I haven't found anything to put up there so I think some of the articles I do will fit quite nicely on their site. I always picture my CB campaigns as a wheel and everything I do for that product points right to the center.
