Can I submit articles that I have on my website to ezine? Or will this not pass copyscape. I have articles written but as my site gets little traffic I thought I would use them as both content on my site and also for the back links on ezine.
Most of the popular article directory expects 100% pass the copyscape artticle, donot copy or spin your web content!
Most article directories do accept duplicate content already published elsewhere. Some of the higher end article directories only allow unique content though. It is best to check the article directories terms of service to confirm. I think ezinearticles would be one of the sites that doesn't want duplicate content. Really though, you should keep your own content for your own site. If you need some articles distributed for link building, pay a freelancer writer for some cheap articles.
If it's linking back to the domain that the article is on there shouldn't be a problem unless someone copied your article or it's under a different name other than your pen name. I usually publish it on my site first and immediately afterwards I'll submit it to ezinearticles and it gets published without any problems. If you've submitted to other directories and the articles are syndicated you'll run into problems.
if you are the original owner of the article it won't hurt your site... I even post the articles to my blog first then submit it to article directories.
If you have articles on your own website and you wanna also target article submission sites for backlinks create seperate content for both channels. When you create onearticle, get it on your website, and then the next one you create get it on article sites and so on. If you feel that your articles on your website are really helpful in your sector then start targetting social media, tweeting, rss agregators, forums, finding relevant blogs and linking back to your article on your website, not to get direct dofollow backlinks to your site but to attract attention from people who will link back to your website and then more attention who will link and so on.
Actually there is no issue that your articles can get published on many article directories. If you are owner of the content you can publish it to many places you like. But normally google do not index urls with duplicate content and you will not get backlink.
Here is what I do, works for me: 1) Publish a full, extended article with images and everything on my blog 2) Wait a few days 3) Submit a 500-word text-only version with a link to my original article to the directories.
