I have just pasted this from my blog, which is just a blogger blog until I set up my own... just wondered what you guys thought... I made a mistake and had a very blonde moment recently, I was using some public domain content for my blog, and used some of it for an article which I submitted to Ezine Articles... don't ask... I have no answer... doh... My account has been suspended and I have explained to the almighty EA. I noticed using a page rank checker (digital point forum tool) that Ezine Articles seem to have dropped from PR7 to PR6 and also that articlesbase.com is a PR6 and is starting to rank above EA in the serps - not always - but sometimes. Interesting huh? As an aside I checked goarticles.com and it was PR4. Hmmm interestinger, and interestinger (I can say this, it's my blog... I know that it is not correct). I have a site Infocheese - content and articles at your fingertips that is PR3.... ok well it's not technically mine, but as good as, it was created by my son, I paid for the domain name and hosting and can easily refuse to cook and wash and iron and he will be paying me to take it from him... You can guess what I'm thinking right? But this leads me to the point of this post... how can EA take OUR content and OWN it? I wouldn't mind if they were very professional and consistent, but the quality of some of the articles they publish are shocking, considering they like to be so strict. The only way to show you what I mean is to post examples from their site. As I have spent so long waffling I will post the most recent one I found today, but I will continue to find and post examples as I find this quite bizarre! EA article: Has the Information in My Membership Site Been Covered Somewhere Else? Most people wishing to launch their membership sites decide not write content on certain topic and fail to create certain products in the mistaken belief that other people before them have already thought about whatever they are going to write about. This is a wrong mentality because almost all information people need to have is can be found anywhere in the world and the web but it is your duty to provide the relevant information and present it in the easiest way to understand. Do not start piling too much stuff on your website. Just collect the most useful information and post it on to site. In case you are having doubts, think about this; universities and schools wouldn't exist if people had your mentality since all the information somebody could possibly need is on Google, private and public libraries and all sorts of sources. Your selling point should be making the articles you write unique. Since this is basically your training manual, information, or training, then you do not posses any of that not so good information, or outdated information. Make a niche when all others are trying to emulate encyclopedias. What I have been trying to tell you, think about the last time you gladly gave out your money because you were unable to figure out something yourself. May it was something you could have done if you gave it some careful thought like getting your VCR to start working. This means that there are people out there like you who can't figure out some ting like how to make an ADWords campaign yield profit. If making AdWords can earn you$100 per month do you think getting the information on how to do this will be worth $50 or$100? Despite the obvious advantages of simply getting this information from someone for a fee, many cheapskates spend days and even weeks trying to find this information on Google with a good chance that the may not even get what they are looking for. What you should be looking to provide for them is a step by step and easy way to sole their problem. Always think of your training as a way of helping c-solve someone's problem and this will put your content on a higher level than the Google results and information in public libraries. You should consider your self an expert in something and that you posses some skills that most other people do not have. This is not to say that for you to become an AdWords expert then you have to train someone. Your training could comprise of simple videos like how to set up an AdWords account. Get the person you are training started and continues prodding them in the right direction. What you are teaching people is something you yourself could have paid money to know if you didn't posses that knowledge. You can learn how to write those instructions by looking at a sample from: Membership Cube - Setup Your Membership Site Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Robert_Plank
Submitting any content other then your own was a mistake. They are not looking for free articles that are public domain, and on 10,000 sites...they want unique. how can EA take OUR content and OWN it? Absolutely. Once you submit to any directory, then it is theirs to use how they see fit. and they use your articles to make money, i doubt they give a crap if you make anything. as for the crap they approve. I really do not have an answer, was it a new article, was it 5 years before they got popular, who knows. EA like everyone else had to start at some point, and that means at some point getting crap articles. EA is turning into another google adsense..they ban on site...
