I donno about the marketing, but I never got a backlink showing in link:domain operator in Google from articles. I have over 50 articles submitted and accepted in about 500 directories.

I think it is better to post your article to other online article websites like prlog, freepressrelease etc instead of waiting for Ezine to approve ur article
I disagree. Google LOVES Ezinearticles. Much more than the others. I've found my articles at the top of search results with Ezine - never for the others. Tons of traffic right there. As far as using article spinners, great for creating lots of backlinks, but when people read those articles, they are often very disappointed. I feel like it really hurts your online reputation, if that's important to you.
If you are interested in Article Marketing, you should most certainly consider using EA. As TiffanyC said, Google loves them. If you want to play their games, let me suggest that when submitting an article to them: 1. Make it at least 425 words 2. Make it unique. No rehashed crap from a landing page or anything that is common knowledge. They are very strict on original content. 3. Submit to them first. Then to other directories and then post on your own site. You can post on your site first but if you do, be sure the author's name is yours. Good luck..
