I found this on the site:

Has anyone experienced this? I mean articles being removed after a few months.

I'm new here. I hope this is the right place to ask this question. I submitted an article to ezinearticles last week Sunday, to help build my backlinks. I was under the impression that it would take about a week for it to be published. However, it is now a week, and the status still says it is waiting for it to be reviewed. Is this normal? This is my very first ezine article btw.

    Thanks

Just letting you all know that I finally got my article published today. I submitted Aug 30, and got published Sept 16. Not a very good turn around time at all.

It's my first time in ezine also, I submitted 1 article but it did not pass for the second time. I'm afraid if ill re submit the same article will ezine penalize if ever it did not pass again?

This bugs me too but it is not always that long. I submit articles every week or 2 and some get approved quickly while other ones take longer.

If it is any encouragement, the articles do seem to really help with boost a site's search engine position and for bringing long term traffic to the site.

Before, I think it only take around a week before articles are approved. But now I noticed that it took more than 2 weeks.

It does say you can contact them after 7 days but I've never had a response, i've noticed in the past couple of weeks articles are taking longer to approve. Perhaps they are doing more thorough checks? I never realised they might take articles off after 180 days - not good for serps? sure they wouldnt though

It depends on the category at EZA, too. Some editors are on the ball more than others (or have less backlog), so you'll get approved faster. It's hit-or-miss.

Go with it, it is definately worth the wait, I have a platinum account and see over 2,000 visitors from my 12 articles I submitted, so for me it is worth it.

Also, googles give the links more credability in your bio when you submit articles, I have tried this and gotten 1 site into #4 position in google for a keyphrase with a competition of 450,000 using ONLY article submissions with ezine.

Good look - try another way to build links whilst you wait...

I've had an article in since 20090902 and I'm still on the fourth bar. (Not yet approved.)

I hadn't expected it to take this long either, but it is good to hear the positive feedback from others.

If I am writing a couple articles a month is it worth it to upgrade to premium? That is like $50 a month.

Ezine are taking a lot longer recently. I've had articles in the games consoles and technology sections take up to three weeks recently although I had a finance article approved in five hours last week! One extreme to the other!

If you just registered, your article submission would not approved in just a week.. Basic membership, I think, can even take a month of approval.. Once you are able to submit ten articles and all of them get approved, you can now upgrade your membership status where your articles can be approved much quicker until you reach the platinum level where approval takes only two business days.. So basically the length of approval would depend on your membership status..

ezine articles admins are a lazy lot... or maybe they need to hire more admins ... they would be making TONs of money to afford another admin.,...

I build my own article directory so that I can do whatever I want to do and I don't want to wait that long for my articles to be published in ezine. If you make your own article directory, you can now compete with ezine. The fact that ezinearticles removes your articles after 180 days should motivate everyone to make their own article directory.

I just submitted my first one a few weeks ago, and it's on the last stage. I guess it just takes time.

I was wondering the same thing. I guess I should have submitted more than one because at this rate, it will take a LONG time to make any progress. I have been waiting over 2 weeks.

I am a platinum member and mine is getting approved with 3 days and if I just update it, it gets approved on same day. Try to be the platinum member as earlty as possible that will reduce this time.

    1. You have to submit 10 articles to become a platinum member.
    2. Once you complete 10, ezine team decides whether you can become a platinum member or not (depends on the quality of the content) and if not, you can not submit further articles.
