Extremely simple, but overlooked method to find specific sites to buy at DP

Don't know where else to post this, but I'd just like to point out a simple method that many people overlook.

Finding specific sites to buy:

Lets say you want to buy a site that mainly earns revenue from Adsense or affiliate programs.

The answer is simple: Search

Select "Sites" where it says "Search in Forum(s)".

You can search for terms like "adsense", "adsense revenue", "affiliate", "affiliate revenue", and most of the time it will bring up sites with whatever qualities or specifications you specify in your search.

It saves alot of time, and having to go through pages and pages to find specific sites to buy.

Always remember though, look at the date the thread was posted. If it was posted more than a month ago and there is no indication as to whether or not it is sold, you can always PM the seller and ask rather than making posts like "Please PM me details", etc. and getting others angry at you for bumping an old thread.

This is also a great way to find out how people make money

Yes, you can make money searching for things too!

Search adsense, see what kind of sites people are making adsense revenue from. Look at their placements, etc etc.

Search azoogleads, etc. See what kind of programs people are promoting and what IS WORKING and making people money, instead of wasting your time testing and testing!

It can also be used in other forums on DP

Never underestimate the power of search! You can use the search feature to search and find specific threads in the Content forum, Advertising forum, etc.

This same method can also be used for any other decent forum that has a marketplace. (eg. talkfreelance.com, sitepoint.com, warriorforum.com)

If all else fails..

Start a WTB thread.

Nice article you clarified alot. This should help newbies like me which are looking to buy new sites. This technique works for all types of sites and not just for adsense, for example if someone is looking for a site which needs no updates and is automatic you can easilys sift through all the other sites for sale and find just what you are looking for.

No prob. I've actually made some money off this myself, so it is indeed a great tool.

I've tried duplicating what some people are doing, programs they're promoting, how they're promoting it, etc. and I must say, the search tool helps alot. I've made quite a hefty sum searching through this section LOL, and I'd recommend everyone to search, search, and search some more.

Yea maybe BST would be more accurate. Because "Sites" section is for buying/selling sites and you obviously are not selling or buying something

Hmm, well, just like the person who posted "General Tips on how to properly buy or sell a website" (a pinned thread in this forum), he wasn't selling any site, but only offering helpful information regarding site sales.

Same thing I'm doing, except I didn't post with the sole intention to try to get this pinned. Only to share as I believe many people could benefit from searching through this section.

(Not saying whoever posted the "General Tips on how to properly buy or sell a website" thread posted it for the sole intention of trying to get pinned)

 

Well even though Skribblez is not buying or selling anything it is still useful and gives tips for those who are interested in buying and selling sites.

I even think that this should be made sticky together with the general tips in the thread/category .
