Extremely Competitive Keyword ranked #1 in google with ONLY 1 page

    Hi,

    I found this post on another forum. When you search the keyword "stock trading" www(dot)stocktradingtips(dot)com comes up #1 or #2.

    They only have 1 page and not much quality backlinks. This is an extremely competitive keyword.

    Can any SEO expert explain.

    You can't trust Google's report of links. Yahoo shows 817 backlinks - still not a lot for this term.

    A lot of these seem to be from MySpace. Hmm, I wonder why all those teenagers linked to a stock trading site?
