I dont know what you call them... but when I put my site name in, I now get a loads of little links below like this. www.mywebsite.co.uk Cached - Similar pages what we do services site map contact us More results from mywebsite.co.uk Anyone else seeing this? its googles way of showing I am now an authority site i believe
They are called sitelinks. http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2006/09/information-about-sitelinks.html
Well done! Not sure how you did it (do tell if you know ), but that's a great advantage in the SERPs. Noticing any new traffic to the sitelinked pages yet?
well, i have just being doing a few reciprocal link exchanges (some 3 way, a couple 2 way) with a few people from DP, but also from people who I work with in the 'real world' - web designers and graphic designers. I am on DMOZ and the site is my main site (seo company) that I have been running for about 16 months. 8 outgoing links I have just been building the links up real slow and am a PR4.
These are site links and its a good thing I guess. So dont worry about it at all. Also, google create them automatically, you cant do anything about it.
since you are seo company this will give you more good credit. the site that got sitelink show that you got a good content. that's mean you really did god job on SEO. congrats. dont care much about PR of your site. just keep building links and content. you will be raise from PR4 soon for sure.
Thanks for the kind words people. One thing that I thought of last night after posting this is that I have recently set up Google Webmaster Tools www.google.com/webmasters/tools/ over the weekend on my site - so I am not sure if that had anything to do with it. Extra traffic? nope, not really as my inner pages are not that well optimised... this is bad for an seo company I know! I have been concentrating on my homepage phrases and my clients sites - I have been number 1 for a phrase with 27 million competition a week or 2 ago, but not right now.
