External Transfer of Domain 1and1

    Does it cost anything to transfer my domain from 1and1 to another registrar? Looking through their faq I get the impression it is free, but you can never tell with 1and1. Anybody have any experience with this?

    yes....you normally have to pay for the renewal fee, regardless of whether your domain name has expired or not.
