I would like to install a backup device on my PC. I would like something like a large ZIP drive that can do regular backups. But I would like the device to contain some type of removeable disk and store at least 50 GB or more. Does anyone make something like this?
You might look at http://www.gtech.com/ What I have isn't removable, but it's pretty small and versatile, and they have lots of stuff there.
I like to use the Maxtor 80 gig external harddrive. I purchased it from best buy about a year ago, and kicks butt. Iomega offers high storage zip drives.
I would also suggest an external USB drive. You can get them up to like 400gb these days, perfect for backups.
I would prefer removable disks, so that I can store the backups at multiple locations (office safe, bank safe deposit box, etc...)
yes, why not get 2-3 backupdrives and store a few offsite. Removable disks will be a VERY expensive solution for you.
