External links to internal pages of a website

Hi all,
How will we get external backlinks for some important pages in a website? Do anyone have any idea? Getting links for the main page is easy n we all know about it. But getting backlinks for many of our internal pages is difficult. some of the directories (1 or 2) giving links to the internal pages. then how will we get external links?

Simple. Make sure that those internal pages have content WORTH LINKING TO. Then people will gladly link to them.

 

You can try to distribute free tools to your visitors and they might link back to your site. Alternatively, you can also try three-way linking exchange.

 

Article distrubution is a easy way. Link to your internal pages from the bio of your article

Writing good content worth linking to is the very best way.

Another way is to hold contests and competitions. My Blogging for Books contest (http://www.thezeroboss.com/tag/blogging-for-books) generates a good number of new backlinks every month.

Also, leverage the power of your network to advertise content on your other sites. Weblogs, Inc. does this very well with the banner scroll at the top of all of their blogs; look at http://bloggingbaby.com for an example of how they use this top-page banner to promote other WIN blogs, such as Cinematical. I'm using a similar technique on The Zero Boss and Parents Behaving Badly to bootstrap my new blog.

Same as few others metnioned. Your Internal pages should have interesting content for people to link. The links in my sig are internal pages and well linked from other external sites. Key is interesting stuff on the internal pages.
