Hi there, I am relatively new to SEO and to this forum, and I was just wondering about External Linking. Is it better to get as many external links as possible (regardless of PR) or is it better to get few, high quality PR external links? If the few, high quality PR links is the best bet, does anyone know any good sites that I could get external links from? I'm currently doing SEO for a Dentist website, so anything relevant to dentistry would be a huge help. I look forward to hearing back from anyone that can provide some advise.
The amount of links right now depends on your domain age. If your domain is young, try to increase your links profile slowly. And yes, use only high quality links from your niche. And you will be on the right way to get links.
Now-a-days it is better to get high quality and PR external links to get good exposure online. PR is only one metric to analyze quality of a website. In my opinion, you should do some more efforts and check domain age, page authority, domain authority, inbound and outbound links etc. too. There are several, just Google it. One from my side is DMOZ listing.
Is there a certain process that I should follow when I'm doing External SEO in order to achieve the best results possible? All the Internal SEO is going really well, but when Internal SEO isn't enough to get the rankings that I need I can't seem to increase it no matter how much directories and blogs that I write.
