External drives are only worth it if you're using eSATA or have a NAS... or a lot of time on your hands. ;)

Why bother having much computer stuff?
All I need is a good computer, a keyboard and a mouse. But since I'm making movies I need a lot of space, that's why I have a computer with 1 TB memory. Thinking of selling my current one and purchase a PC with 1.5 TB. I have 100 GB softwares and editing material. I don't even want to mention how big the files are when I record with my HD video camera.

Currently i have 3 internal drives and 2 external drives utilizing ESATA one is full of movies and the other is for data storage for work, as it has been mentioned its best to look at your MoBo specs and find out if you have ESATA capabilities as it will give you that extra needed boost in speed for external drives.
