External HDD into DVR

    Anyone know about DVR's? Do you think it's possible to plug in an USB external HDD into my DVR? I know it says something about a SATA plug in but I don't want to go buy another HDD.

    Yeah you might need an extension to plug an usb into it.

    Darn it. My DVR (from cable company) has a USB port but I have a feeling it's not for anything except for their own use.

    You might can find a convertor to go from usb to sata...just check out the online comp stores...like newegg or tigerdirect.
