External Hard Drive Recommendation

I am in the market for an external hard drive for backup purposes. I want to stay under the $200 price range, and don't need anything more than 150 gig.

I would prefer a "One button backup" option, but I will need to backup three seperate computers on a local home network.(using Windows XP)

    Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Took an old computer....got a free hard disk drive (250gig) in exchange for some easy work.
    There is my backup! LOL

Now trying to get a simpleshare appliance on the network so all computers can then share everything through that.

I just got a SimpleShare 400 gig drive at Costco for $300. That is more than you said you need, but it truely is simple. I pluged it into the router, maped it as a network drive and that was it. Since it ethernet from the router it is hot swapable.

I had a Maxtor external drive with a "one button backup" but it was a hassle to use so I didnt :)

    Seagate External 160, 200 or 250 - from $120 - $180 on Amazon.

Comes with BounceBack Lite and I used the upgrade software and it does network backups on several computers automatically at whatever time or day you choose. You can continue to work while it is backing up, but I have it set to do it at 2am. I'm not sure if the included software does this or not. There is a one-button restore feature, but it will only restore the registry on one computer (others you would need to reinstall the software).

For backup I've got a Seagate HD with an external HD casing which I put together. Stay away from Western Digital, their shit, at least from my experience with them.

I recommend this for small level backup.
    2TB
With the double protection of two Mirrored (RAID 1) drives and continuous automatic backup software.

Online for an average of $250 these days. Also has the 1 button backup as you want.
