Expression Web or Dreamweaver for intermediate web design

I'd be interested to hear from anyone that has had experience on both Expression Web and Dreamweaver from an intermedite point of view. I use Expression web for general use as I find dreamweaver a little too focused on the expert. I known Expression Web has limitations, but is it really that bad?

CSS is a lot better with Expression Web, and I find it a lot more useful for the basic stuff, but mostly I end up using Dreamweaver. It's better to use something too good for the job than something that's limitations might hold you back :)

I have never heard of Expression web, but after looking it up a little, it seems to be a big upgrade from microsoft's frontpage and not a bad option to use. However, based on your question it sounds like you are more focused on the visual editors of both these tools. Personally, I like designing everything from the coding standpoint as it gives me more control over the format and leaves me with less mistakes created by the editor I am using. This may seem like it's more complicated than it's worth, and for what you are using the tools for then that may be true, but if you find yourself creating some complicated layouts, you might want to consider switching.

As I haven't used expression web, I can't tell you if it's better or worse than dreamweaver, but if you are doing everything from code then it doesn't really matter what you use (although my personal choice is dreamweaver).
