If mailing starts within 5 working days and then are spread out over 6 days, I'd not expect anything yet (judging by smaller emailings I've done). Please update again in 7 days and 14 days.
I couldn't resist it - and had a tax rebate - so I ordered 500,000 yesterday, 27th September, from Express Bulk. Order confirmed. Please let me know how you're doing with this Shamus and we can compare results
1 associate - sad to say, I've had zero results. ZERO! Luckily I only spent $30... Let me know if you have a different outcome! Good luck!
Hi, I had confirmation that the emails (500,000) had gone out this morning and I've already seen results. Most of the active users on my site a few minutes ago came via express bulk. Average page views today is 3. One concern is that although I ordered 500,00 UK email addresses most express bulk visitors seem to be from US. I'll keep you updated
305 visitors, yesterday and today so far, from express bulk - I didn't expect to have this many so soon - if at all. Also, the vast majority are UK based
Looks like your having far better results than shamus. Maybe a comparison of your fields and any other different options that were available to you may give us an answer as to why it's working out for one and not the other? Just a suggestion. Thanks for sharing your experiences regardless.
1associate, When you say "via express bulk", are you saying via their site? You should setup bot traps as well. ;p
400 visitors and 8 clicks now what's a bot trap? My website is for the education sector - I think Shamus is financial services. Would anyone else care to join in? It costs $30 to try it - I think details are at the start of the thread
Bot traps are built to trap bot scripts "fake traffic". In most cheap traffic services they use bots or pop ups to send traffic, and is why its so cheap. The way you where talking it sounded like you where saying the traffic was coming from a location with a referral. With more than 2M emails myself you never get referral data except from free mail accounts that are http based, so it just raised my eyeball you know!
631 visitors sent via express bulk so far - since Monday. I'm monitoring individual visitors and they seem to be coming from relevant companies and organisations. They are viewing c 3 pages and staying on each page c 2.5 minutes. ExpressBulk estimate 100 - 1,000 visitors per 100,000 sent so they've done better than the minimum expected. Now I'm watching to see how long they visits arising from my trial 500,000 last and if the clicks they produce revenue to cover the £15 it cost. I'll let you know . . .
Despite earlier optimism - the final count for visitors increased to 960 - this was a waste of money. The visitors were a poor quality. The visitors arrived within the same 7 day period. No more arrived after that. What do you think explains this? I think it's sus.
Any result so far? I got my hosting disabled my account due to trial of a bulk email too hosted in my site.. I will never do it again
I don't know about the others, but I never went through with it. I did a lot of checking, and it is the same ol' stuff pointed out in this thread. Also, I sat back and used common sense.... There are just so many Internet users in the world, many of them being kids, teens, and less than 1% would volunteer to receive such e-mail. So, how many times can you actually do this? And of those, how many changed their mind and will not open the e-mails? That's the main reason why I don't do or advise others to do e-mail marketing.
