Express Bulk - A Test

    Hey guys,

I know there are quite a few people wondering how effective Express Bulk is, and I decided to put it to the test. It's only $30, so why not!

$30 (actually 29.95) will send out 500,000 emails. They say to expect between 100-1000 responses for every 100,000 emails sent. We will see....

I just submitted the order about 10 minutes ago, and they say it can take up to 5 days to start sending, so I will report back with any results as soon as I get them (and I'll definitely know if I see any results).

    Until next time! ;)

As Shamus said, its a test so we'll see....

More often than not it may not be really targetted at all but really hope at least you get some results...

Silveraden - Express Bulk is one of many companies that offer bulk email campaigns to targeted audiences. The email addresses they will go to are from people who have opted to receive emails from the various companies. Completely legal.

Fairplay - thanks, me too! You can pick your target audience, but you're right, who really knows if it will reach that specific target...only time will tell I guess!

I've always been a skeptic for any traffic services that include the word 'bulk' :) Good luck to you anyhow.

They are ok. I am using them currently and I am not getting the responce I was expecting. I ordered the 4.9mil email package. While it has increased hits to the site, None of them stay and look around. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask here or PM me.

    Hi, Thanks for sharing.
What area did you target and could you tell if visitors came from diff. location (diff. ip address)?
Anyone click to a second page?

    Thanks.

So you have used a bulk emailer have you received spamming complaints? do you have stats that show the click through rate or the amount of users that have opted out of receiving emails from you?
We are looking to doing something with bulk email too but all I hear is to stay away. I'm curious to hear how it works for you.

    Thanks!

Can you give me an idea of the product/service you have marketed using bulk emails?

How do they build such huge lists of opted in emails?

Great idea! Look forward to the feedback.

I was thinking of using these.

    What category have you chosen?

    Alright!

I received an email Wednesday confirming that the 500,000 emails were sent out. They mentioned at the end to wait 3-14 days to see any results. So it's really only been 2 days, but here is the response I've had so far:

    ZERO

The email I sent involved a free signup, and it wasn't a hard sell or anything even close. With zero results, I would definitely be hesitant to send out an email which would require a purchase....but who knows, this may change in the next 14 days. I hope so!

    I'll keep you updated :)

nice to tell us about your testing. Normaly the CTR for email marketing is 1% or less. For 500k emails and 30$ i think it's a bit too high price. XD anyway wait a bit longer and tell us the progress. (it would have a better result if those email are your target groups anyway, not just by random sending.)

The emails were for the most targeted group that related to the signup.

Update - 4 days later - ZERO results.

Keep in mind, I'm not bashing the company, but so far my purchase dictates that I will probably not try it again.
