Can you import phpBB files into vBulletin seamlessly if you so chose to go to vbulletin one day?

Your responses are much appreciated; not sure if I want to take the hit with vbulletin or just set one phpBB up first and see how it goes.

    Thanks!

I switched from phpBB to vbulletin in september 2006, with the help of vbulletin's Impex software. It was easy and worth it. :)

My webmaster forums were once phpBB. Awesomely modded and the theme I have now was created for phpBB. I changed since I was sick of hearing people say "I don't register on phpBBs .. they are unprofessional". And I cannot say I am pleased with VB, even if it does have more features out of the box. I am having constant problems with it, poorly documented hacks and lack of support from the community.

What type of board do you run? I'd assume webmaster related ones will have pickier users?

I am switching to vBulletin from phpBB, is it hard to restore the database once you have the backup?

I just imported Punbb using Impex and I was amazed at how well everything went. The only problem I had was forgetting my database user password.
