Recently I got an e-mail from ExpoActive (***.expoactive.com). They want to place a text based ad on my website that will pay $0.25 for every click. However they are not clear how many ads I can place or any other information. What do you guys think? Anyone deal with them before?
hmm... interesting. I wonder if they are trying to get pure text links or just trying to get traffic. Haven't dealt with them before, but if it's just a couple text links I can't imagine it would hurt much. Just be sure that you have an exit clause in any contract or TOS in case you don't like their service.
I never heard of them but I just got a similar email request and they want it on a specific page of the site. But no indication what kind of ad. They say after I sign up I can see the ad and offer to put in on another site with similar demographics. I'm pretty sure it's an ad for mediciine The site they want to use is a professional services site, putting ads on it would be kind of sleezy.
I have recently been approached too. Does anyone know if they are legit since there is no office address/contact number only email available. Thanks
I just got an email from expoactive.com, too. It looks like they are trying to create there own little "adsense" judging from their ad examples: http://www.expoactive.com/examples.html Has any one tried them?
So, any latest updates on expoactive? I did a search to see if anyone asked about them in this forum, and found this old thread They approached me and offered me some ads to be placed on my site.
I would think that google would patent the layout of their ads, since everyone seems to be putting patents on every aspect of the web. If they do have a patent then expo would be infringing on it. Can't they at least make it a little more different than the bright (odd) colors?
I'm glad to read this thread. I got this email too, at first i thought they like my site , then i asked myself: why me? Plus they don't tell me what kind of ads they will ask me to put on if we do sign some kinds of contracts...Don't want to get into any troubles for $0.25/click.
I have no knowledge of this site or company but it looks like they could be like bitadvertising.com... they offer great prices for publishers but then pay for a little while if at all and disappear! Drew.
I've also had this email now (was in my spam folder), has anybody taken them up on the offer and what kind of results are you seeing?
I tried them for a while. They contact webmaster according to the advertisers needs. They offered me a 0.4$ per click. According to the stats I collected some money but I quit using them cause they're not clear about payments methods and else. If they turn to have a more professional way of working I think they can be a valid alternative to adsense...at least according to the cpc rate they offer
Email received here also and they are offering 0.25 cents a click on one of my pages however I have Adsense on there which pays more than that. Read Google's TOS a few weeks ago and to my knowledge can't run two different text ads promoted by two different companies unless I misread Google's TOS. Like to read more reviews about them..any other threads out there?
I received another email from expoactive. One of their advertisers wants to place a text ad on my Fashion News blog. I signed up with an expoactive account and it actually looks like a good idea. The ads are relevant to my site (since the advertiser chose me) and I was going to throw up the ads to test it out, but I forgot that I already have Google ads. Does any one know for sure if you can run expoactive and Google ads on the same page? I would image that you can, but I want to know for sure.
Okay, you can run expoactive ads and google ads on the same page since expoactive ads are not contextual. I set up expoactive here: My Fashion Blog I was able to blend it nicely, but unfortunately the publisher that wrote the ad Writes His Ads Like A Fucking Moron (When did capitalizing the 1st letter of every word become a proper way to write?!).
I just received a proposal from ExpoActive, and found this thread in a Google search for ExpoActive. I have still not make up my mind for them. Btw, that is a nice page and setup.
Thank you So far I have a whopping $.80 in my expoactive account, which is actually better then I expected since I placed the ad in a somewhat inconspicuous spot. The only negative thing I can think of in regards to expoactive is that you have to reach a minimum balance of $100 before they will cut you a check (at the rate I'm going, I'll reach that in a couple of years ). But, if you have a high traffic site and work on good ad placement, I think expoactive can be a successful moneymaker!
hi guys from what i've read here: http://www.ppcprimer.com/2005/reviews/have-you-been-solicited-lately-by-expoactive this is a scam. they do well for you for a while, earn you a bit of money, and then drop the revenue-per-click quite quickly to nothing, ensuring you "give up on them" and remove their ads.. and in most cases, walking away from the 5 or 10 bucks still sitting in your account. neat business model! they pull in 10,000 sites and make 5 or 10 bucks from them all, that's a healthy income stream. just my 0.02.. (no pun intended) s
