Well I think every thought should be with the families that have lost thier - mummy / daddy / daughter or son today not it was bound to happen ect I would like to post my EXACT THOUGHTS on this but I do understand younger people read this forum We will never and I mean never let such a few people ruin OUR great country They have just pulled the lions tail and that pisses off a lion A massive thankyou to the 999 guys and girls who rushed in where others would not dare to go
Hope everyone is ok. They're reporting 37 dead with the possibility of more (people in critical condition) now, and 700+ wounded. Not quite as bad as Madrid, but a lot worse than initially thought. I heard on CNN last night, "there are bodies all over the rails" down in the underground at Kings Cross... most of the fatalities were there I think. It's funny, haven't lived in London for years but I used to live between Aldgate East and Liverpool Street... probably within a block of where the first bomb went off. No less shocking from the other side of the world. Bloody hell.
I really like how this thread has been nothing but positive and only about caring for the ones who have suffered. I was afraid it could turn into a political or religious debate, but it hasn't. let's keep it that way We all have our own thoughts, but I really commend everyone for being so much about what really matters which is those who have suffered. I pray that justice will be done in a way that it will prevent more of those cases from happening. Mike
When those morons go to hell instead of their sick martyr afterlife...that will be their justice I suppose.
i sympathize with you.. i hope the younger generations will never lose hope for a btter future ahead of them.. how could these wicked people ruin such a beautful place?
they've hurt it but not ruined. This time its not visually spectacular so the wounds of the general population will heal more quickly. Ofcourse, for those directly involved the impact is long lasting. On the way to work this morning there was a woman on the radio who had been working in Harrods 21 years ago when car bombs were used. You could tell that the horrors were being felt freshly, all over again. I can't imagine how hard it must be for the survivors to put this behind them and start living again.
Condolances to all affected. This is a terrifying act that affects not only Londoners but muslims all over the world. Al-Qaeda, you do not have the support of the muslims with all terrorist attacks that you committed (.and yet you admit to this one too). You are making it hard for muslims overseas to live at peace with their neighbour. Whoever committed this barbaric act must be condemned. My thought to all affected
For our Allies on the "other side of the pond". You are our nations best friend during good times and bad times. Just as you lended a helping hand when our Nation was attacked, I assure you that the United States will help Britain by any means possible. If all this Anti-American setiment was turned into anti-terror setiment I firmly belive the terrorist threat would become minimal. Yet many European nations don't see the problem at hand and avoid taking the issuse head on. France, Germany, Russia; after leaving the United States and Britain hanging last time, we won't hold our breath for you to help us now. God Bless those that where at all affected today.
Machine translation Confusion around alleged warnings of Scotland yard the Israeli Embassy in London received no preliminary warnings of the British police before threatening terrorist raids against first reports. That got the Israeli minister of foreign affairs Silvan straight Shalom. Before a Embassy coworker had stated, the Israelis had been warned minutes before the notices. Jerusalem - "there was no early information about attacks of terror", said Shalom in the Israeli army broadcast. "after the first explosions it was instructed that nobody moves, until the things are clearer." Before a coworker of the Israeli Embassy in London had stated, the British police already briefly before the assassination attempts about the danger informed had been. Scotland yard called and communicated few instants before the notices the safety officer in the Embassy, one received warnings of possible terrorist raids, so the version to anonymous Israeli. The Londoner police head, Sir Ian Blair, had not wanted to commentate the premature warnings in an interview with the transmitter "Sky News" however. In the proximity of the explosion place today several Israelis had met to an economic conference, to which also the Israeli Minister of Finance Benjamin Netanjahu was expected. The explosions occurred before its arrival. According to data of the Israeli Ambassador the agency of its country is in the meantime in highest alarm condition. Anybody is not permitted it to enter or leave the message.
A day after looking back on this awful day for the free world, I have only a few points. -People return to work using transport methods bombed less than 24 hrs ago, our people are strong and the terrorists have failed to change the way we live and we do not walk our streets scared of them and never will. -God bless our emergency services, never have I witnessed such an organised response to something as awful as what happened, your country is so proud of you.
they must come up with a really strict plan on how to protect people. this terrorist should pay for what they did.
Were the other 3 controlled explosions? There were a few bomb scares in Princes Street as well and I think they carried out a few controlled explosions there.
I think the original point was that voltaire is posting everywhere to get to 25 without reading the thread.
