I am confused as to how the reseller accounts work, I can sign up for a free reseller account, and I basically just advertise it and hope to get merchants to sign up? and i take % of their volumes? like e-onlinedata offers reseller accounts, id just basically signup with them for free....then try to advertise it or what? sorry im confused, i know there are other websites, just dont know of any right now, thus the reason i asked in my previous post
If you look at the bottom of the sites for providers in the United States, you will see something like or This helps to let the merchant know if they are an ISO / MSP and what bank is the acquiring bank. This helps to let the merchant know who the provider is. If you look at the processors in the United States, you will see in the footer, something similar (if not, well this is against Visa regulations and is reportable). To become a reseller - it is depends on who you are going to resell for and what. Sometimes, you can sell merchant accounts and then you might want to sign up to resell the gateways. Or you can partner with some agents / ISOs and let them handle everything while you get a piece of the pie. Visa / MasterCard re-visit their rules usually every April and October. A lot of times, they do not re-write the regulations, but just re-interpret them to their benefit.
