Explain How Indexing and Yahoo work

    I still new to the SEO game, however my site got visited by yahoo last week and i have 2 pages I assume indexed in their search engine. Why didnt the spider index everything ? how do you go about doing this ?

    There is no right answer, because it depends on a number of factors. Is your sites content original? If not, it may get spidered but never indexed. Same with affiliate sites. Spidering does not mean it will index the site. Indexing does not mean it will rank high enough to produce any traffic. Original content and backlinks (links to your site from others) will determine how yahoo treats your site. The better and more relevant the backlinks, the better. A week is not very much time for yahoo.

    To understand it probably you need to work on it personally, but even in that way you may not fully understand who does it work.

    Yeah ,,,there is no perfect answer to that question..and i think you can just try your level best and take the chances to get indexed and get ranked well.

    Its not only for yahoo but applicable to all search engines.
