Life cycle of a domain name is pretty lengthy and as per the cycle, after expiry... there are 45 days of 'auto-renew grace' period, followed by 30 days of 'Pending Delete-Restorable' period plus 5 days more for pending delete. It is only after these periods have lapsed that the domain name is made available for general market. You may sum it up and decide the number of days you need to wait! Regards, RightMan
Usually domains are deleted within 60 days after expiration, so if domain expired on 2001-01-25, most likely it will be available for registration after 2010-03-25
Well, imagine yourself as the owner of this domain. You will be happy that domain isn't deleted immediately
it just expired not released to public. it will be released after 5 days when it goes to pending delete status. normally it can take 35 days to 75 days depending on registrar's deletion policy
about 35 days after it enters redemption period (for .com and .net). That usually happens about 30-45 days after expiry date
