Expired then reclaimed who is data

I recently picked out 2 nice dotCOM names off the register. After claiming I started to run some keyword related searches only then realizing that these names where droped not too long ago, and I found both names showing up with backlinks already on the web and also 6 years of records on archive.org for one and 5 years on the other.

So my question to the title is does the who-is data age always start over for a droped name if another person claims or even the oringinal owner claims?

Yup, if your name is dropped and you get it again, the age resets.
