I was sooo bussy that I didn't noticed that my eu domain name was expiring. The last day was today. Now it is not in my GoDaddy domain control panel. Also still it seen as registerd. I have emailed them whether I can rebuy it. Now I'm waiting a reply. Anyone knows what will be the fate of my eu domain name?

the good news is that you may be able to hand register the name when it comes up for registration again. there is less competition now since domain tasting has been curtailed.

I will wait for a new registration, because they want $80+fee.
Here is the reply from GoDaddy:

Thank you for contacting Online Support. According to a whois lookup at the registry, the domain name ***.EU expired on 4/6/2009. Given that the domain was not renewed in a timely fashion, it has now entered a 'Redemption Period'. During this period the registered owner may redeem the domain by paying a redemption fee of $80 (USD) in addition to the standard renewal rate.

If you wish to recover the domain from the redemption period, please reply with the following information:

    • A specific request to redeem the domain (include the actual domain name).

    • The last four digits of the payment method already on file that you would like billed, as indicated within your account under 'Credit Card & Payment Info'.

    • An acknowledgment that your card will be charged $94.99 (USD).

    • Confirm that you have read and agree to our 'Universal Terms of Service.'

    • Please be sure to reply by the end of the month in which the domain expired in to ensure your domain can be redeemed.

Please note that after receiving your confirmation to redeem the domain, it can take up to 3 business days for the redemption request to be completed.

Please let us know if we can help in any other way.

Although I will check regularly (in every 10 minutes) to re register my domain name at the end of the quarantine period is it possible to be bought by those domain name "hunters". My web sited had about 10-20 visitors daily.
