I time ago I came across a site where you could put in a keyword and then it would check for expired and available domains and list also the links in msn, google, dmoz and if it had pr. ....you guess it...it can't fnd the site anymore Anybody knows the site I am talking about? regards, Edwin
i know one that pad the keyword with prefix or suffix. but it only check availabity but not pr and link. It would be really cool if such tool exist
Hmmm I haven run into the freepage you are reffering to..The best free one I know of is justdropped.com. But that doesent show back links or anything like that. You have to use some of the pay programs to scope up the best ones. If its not to much of a shameless plug.. You can check my site in the sig for some of my best finds..
I found a site now that does it in 2 steps and comes close to what I had in memory in terms of layout and function so ...maybe I remembered it wrong and was wishing that it should be alll in 1 step. Site I found is http://www.justdropped.com/ but it's not totally what I want as it's slow and requieres an extra check for the links etc.
Using justdropped you can check the alexa reanking pretty quick so if it says no data you can generally assume no page rank
Maybe it's time again for me to write a script to make it the way I want Long long time ago I made a script that took all your keywords and checked at the ppc if you were on top of the bids. was the time of kanoodle, goto, sprinks and searchgalor.... (must have been in 2002) Thinking of making a script now that will check the expired list, combine it with the backlinks and maybe some other goodies. Might be a nice idea for a new site.
That sounds like a winner to me If you wanna use the free version of justdropped. I recommend getting the list sent to your mail.. Import in an excel sheet or similar and removed most of the junk info.. When you have a nice clean domain list just insert it into some sort of script that checks it against Alexa.. Again if you want free.. I only found a limited script allowing 10 names at a time.. http://www.webconfs.com/domain-age.php
The name of the site that you are looking for is http://www.snapcheck.com For some reason the site is down. My guess is they may have been hired to use this as a tool to corner names at a price instead of a free service. They pointed all their business to pool.com so maybe pool brought them onto their team. I read one post that said they are going to let the name expire. Now.. that would be funny seeing the name tracking giant taking the plunge into the after market. I did have a bad experience with pool.com when they did not turn over 2 domains that I purchased from them. I called Canada several times and they mentioned that they could not correct the name servers. Finally after 3 months they turned over the names. They went from a PR 7 to 0 during this time. They were .org names that they said they were having trouble with. Just as one name hit 0 they turned it over. Their click add system however seemed to be working great for these names that I owned during this time period. I checked all of Googles servers and watched them both slowly trickle down from PR7 to 0. I was not a happy camper. Thats my quick overview of you lost domain and what I think about pool.com

snapcheck use to be kick ass.... weird... once they started asking for donations and got money... they became worse and worse.
