Hi, in every official document on the net i see that REDEMPTIONPERIOD is set to 30 days (well, 35-40 max)

But i can see domains in REDEMPTIONPERIOD for much longer, why is that? for example:
    Status: REDEMPTIONPERIOD
    Updated Date: 25-feb-2005
    Creation Date: 26-jan-2003
    Expiration Date: 26-jan-2005

    and its 15 march now.

I can see that Updated Date is just 1 day before expiration - is it some kind of intentional cheating by the registrat to have longer redemptiontime period?

    any ideas?

Redemption Period is 31 days. It started on the updated date. This is the period where the domain does not work, but the original owner can reactivate it.

After that, it will be in a PENDINGDELETE status for 6 days. So, once it's in redemption, you can calculate the exact day the domain will be dropped (available to register) assuming the original owner does not renew it.

37 days from the last updated date is that day.

Sorry to bring back this thread.
    Here is my question.
The domain already expired for more than 1 month but still in REDEMPTION-PERIOD.
When will the domain will be dropped?
