Expired Domain

    Hi,

    I have a question regard expired domain.

    There's a domain I want to buy. It is going to expire on 7th Jan 2008 and the domain owner is no longer use that domain.

    I only wonder if I can buy that domain name when it expires.

    After a name expires, I believe it takes about 75 days before it drops, if I'm wrong in regards to the time frame, I'm sure someone will correct me. Only after it drops will it be available for anyone to reg it. That is, of course if no one has backordered it & it doesn't get picked up by the dropcatchers.

    Hi,

    One thing you might consider.. Contact the current owner. Ask him if he has any further interest in the domain, or if he might consider selling it. DON'T TALK MONEY on the first contact.

    If you hear back from him, he might include a price. If not, ask him what HE wants. Then, make a counter offer that you're comfortable with.

    Who knows, you might luck out and get it dirt cheap.

    They didn't renew it but I still can't regis that domain.

    75 days is long way to go :(
