Expired, Deleted domain lose authority?

Just wondering if any seo experts / domain experts could shed a little light on the trust factors for expired and re-registered domains.

Today i've registered a .com from namecheap.com, i noticed at the time the domain had previously been bought over 3 years ago and the owner had decided to not renew causing the domain to cancelled/deleted whatever and be available to be re-registered again at the standard price.

My question is, given that this domain was originally 'created' some 3 years ago, is that data still applicable in terms of trust/authority from a search engines POV or was all that info negated when the domain expired?

    Thanks.

Once the domain is deleted, it becomes refreshed; it won't be treated as an aged domain.

The way to prove this is by looking up the whois info on the domain. The "date created" will be the date YOU registered it, not the first time it was registered.
