EXPERTS: Are Javascript Windows a good design idea? PLEASE Take a look

The idea is to allow multiple windows to compare results easier.

    PLEASE take a look

** Just do a quick search to see the example jscript windows.

So lets hear from the experts (or anyone with an opinion!). What is the best way to show multiple results to the user? Javascript windows, multiple tables on one page, what do you think?

Any comments or suggestions are appreciated. :)

I like it, but, I think you should just make it load the content into the current area

I had to stretch the floating box to see all the content.

    Also, what about non-js users?

Doesn't do a damn thing in my browser. Meaning it doesn't have simple, basic functionality without the crutch of client-side scripts...

Much as I hate Javascript, it has its place. However, a site that has absolutely no function without it is a site that belongs on an Intranet, not teh intertubez.

At the very least, the scripting should be on the server's end so that a result of some sort appears for everyone. Let those with Javascript get a fancier display or something.

    Thanks crath...

Stomme - you have JS disabled on your browser?

Even single-page results would most likely include some ajax/jscript to improve speed.

    More suggestions please :)

Another suggestion is, sorry, a new design.

The design is super big for something that can be done in a very small yet sleak design :)

ps: i have so many ideas for a design if you are interested :p
