Although building backlinks is the most important thing every website owner should do, many still does not understand the value of backlinks. As a designer, I always try to make this as clear as possible to my clients all the way from the beginning. However, some of them always come back after few months saying that they do not receive any search engine traffic and point me to their competitors who are receiving lots of traffic.

Because it is not a “build it and wish for the best”, let’s try and give a plan that costs no money and that can build traffic with time.
So, I am starting to give out this small backlinks building plan that costs no money and requires only one hour of work every day.
    - Developing and Adding New Web Content: 1 Hour
    - Web directories submissions: 2 HRS
    - Article writing and submissions: 2:30
    - Forum Postings: 45 Minutes
    - Commenting: 30 Minutes
    - Bookmarking 15 Minutes
    FAQ:
1- Can I do it one time a week instead of having to do it every day?
Yes, but it is better to do it every day to create a working pattern which will be part of your schedule.
2- Are there other things that I can do?
Yes, there are many other things that you can do. However, train yourself to doing these things every day, just going around these things will teach you more and then you can add more hours and implement new ideas that come.
3- I don’t think I have an hour a day; can someone do this for me?
Yes, the more the merrier. Furthermore, if you have some cash to spend, you will easily find many people willing to gladly help :)

Now expert webmasters… what would be your plan for building backlinks and list of frequently asked questions for a zero dollars budget and one hour a day.
