I think i should also give lenovo thinkpad a look Thanks for all your suggestion friends...keep more of those coming!!
I suggest you to buy the Compaq series. it is very cheap and good performance. It can be get around 35K in India. but it comes with windows vista basic home edition. the only thing you need to upgrade your RAM or install XP in your machine. i know its very difficult to get all the windows XP drivers for Compaq V3000 series. but i managed to get all those drivers, and its available with me.
i used IBM thinkpad, Dell and compaq laptops. but still i feel the worth for my cash is only the compaq. ( the only drawback is, the Vista in its 512 MB RAM).
Thanks friends but i think i am not upto acer, compag, toshiba :d i am struck with sony vaio i just love its looks but it is not worth the money...1 gb ram and 120 gb hard disk for Rs 55000 ie nearly $1375
try a asus if none of the others tickle your pickle! i hear lots of great things about them! Id like to get one if i had the loot!
All I have to say is one phrase..... ONCE YOU GO MAC, YOU NEVER GO BACK I actually own a domain that say that... lol! Sorry had to say it. Dan
Now thts a pretty good saying..u must be one who advertises mac so friends i am making my mind for http://www.sony.co.in/product/vgn-cr24g/sku/vgn-cr24g%2Fb+e1?site=hp_en_IN_i hope thats good
there aer many things u shld have in mind. Your usage. requirement and job profile. laptops basically are ahrd to distinguish -----so we distinguish according to requirements. some goes for looks where as some goes for quality. depending on nature of job and working hours on laptop -- u can chooose the lappy u like the most-- not much difference as a ayman. u might choose looks over quality or better performacne over looks. i think u have big enough budget to cover either way. so decide ur requirements and buy what is best for u
Used all brand names, lots of different models, many years now, I will rank my top 3: #1.IBM #2.DELL #3.TOSHIBA
Actually it depends to your requirementsa and also your budget... But if you like it, just buy one... For SM, I'm more prefer Sony.. At this moment, I'm using Acer and sometimes Asus the smallest lactop. Anyway, Sony is my dream lactop.... I'll get it one day...
Your List dont Have Sony never mind..actually my usage will be say 7-8 hours a day and that too on my websites and other internet related stuff..i am not a big games lover so no gamez specific laptop is needed. Thanks For all the valuable information you people are providing.....
I would recommend a Toshiba Satellite P105-S9339 or a new version of the same. It's a GREAT laptop, for a good price.
