    Hello Friends..
I am planning to buy a laptop and was into serious thinking as i can not decide on which one to go for..So i thought why not to ask webmasters here :)

I have a budget of $1300 and m struck between DELL and Sony VAIO

My friends told VAIO is more of a show off than features so please let me decide which one to buy!!

    Thanks

I have got around 500 voters who voted for the best laptops , i personally would recommend a sony vaio and if you are a fancy gadgets lover go for apple macbook pro and that would need a good budget too.

Instead of fixing it up with a specific brand, my suggestion is to review your needs at first. many models seems catchy designs but when we spend some money for that, think whether it can serve your actual purpose. anyway we will change our laptops in every 2-3 years, so my advice is to invest in a model which serves your purpose.

I'd rather buy some lenovo thinkpad being you... thinkpads are very reliable laptops.

But it also depends on what you'll be using laptop for. When you want to watch high quality movies or play some game occasionally, then sony vaio would be better choice.

I advice you to get the cheapest and with the most RAM available for that price. If you play games take a look at the graphics card, but if it´s for work purposes only just check the battery life and the amount of RAM.

Really depends what you are using it for, as to which model to go. HP make some good models and never had a problem with Toshiba either. Sony is OK, their laptops are better than most of their other stuff. So is it going to be for movies, games or just office work?

give us some recommendations on what you want, you can get good laptops with the lower end brands, more bang for your bucks.

What ever you do don't buy a Dell. They just replaced my lemon (went through 3 motherboards and 3 hard drives) and this new one is having issues as well...

I'd buy a mac if I were you
